Coyote Hunt Registration
2025 Annual Coyote Hunt Rules and Regulations
February 7th, 8th, and 9th
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 30, 2025 AT 11:59PM!
- Each participant must be registered for this hunt. When hunting in groups, each member of the group must be registered, or the entire group will be disqualified.
- You can register online (below), at the Club, or by mail. Write “Coyote Hunt” on the envelope when sending the application in the mail. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to defer costs. If mailing in the application, it must be postmarked by January 20, 2025.
- Each participant must be a 2025 member of the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association. If you are not a member now, you can apply for a membership when you register for the hunt. If applying online, renew or apply for 2025 membership FIRST and then register for the coyote hunt. Click here to complete our online membership registration.
- A registration fee of $10.00 plus a $2.00 administration fee for a total of $12.00 must be paid with the registration. There is an optional $5.00 additional fee to enter for the heaviest female coyote and an additional $5.00 for the heaviest fox.
- No registrations are taken on the days of the hunt. The last day to register may be done at the club Thursday, February 6, 2025, until 11:59 PM or online on January 30, 2025, until 11:59 PM. If you are registered, you can start to hunt at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025. The hunt and weigh-ins will end on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 3pm.
- Coyotes & Foxes must be killed by legal means during the days of the hunt.
- Hunting will be permitted state wide in Pennsylvania. Participants must have the proper license and obey all the game laws in the state of Pennsylvania while hunting.
- Calls and dogs can be used to hunt coyotes & foxes. Trapping is allowed.
- The Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association reserves the right to have an autopsy performed on the animal if we feel that the animal was kept in a pen or was taken illegally. A veterinarian will be available to enforce this regulation. SSA respects your honesty as a sportsman, and we hope that you respect the organization.
- Official weigh-ins will be done at the Club on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. The deadline for weigh-in is 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025 – prizes will be awarded after weigh-ins.
- W9’s must be completed for prizes over $600.
- Each hunter is responsible for the disposal of his or her coyote & fox carcasses.
- Prizes will be awarded by check, after the proper tax forms are completed and handed in if prize money is over $600.
Please ask for permission to hunt on private land!
DECISIONS MADE BY THE SINNEMAHONING SPORTSMEN’S ASSOCIATION COYOTE HUNT COMMITTEE ARE FINAL
- Prizes to be awarded for kill - If only one coyote is killed, this person would receive all the entry fees taken in. If no coyotes are killed, all entry fees would go toward benefiting special events. If more than one coyote is killed, prizes will be awarded as follows: The heaviest will get 60% of take in and the balance will be divided up equally with the remaining coyotes killed.
No registration on the days of the hunt.
Registration deadline at the club is Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Online deadline is Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM. If by mail - it must be postmarked by January 20, 2025. The club is not responsible for lost or late applications.
**When completing the online application, and you do not have your 2025 card number yet, leave it blank and the club will fill that in with your temporary card #
Late applications will be returned via mail. Applications not filled out completely or legibly will be returned.
**IF APPLYING BY MAIL: Complete and return sections 1 & 2 of this form with a self-addressed stamped envelope. The club will return section 2 to you
with your assigned Coyote Registration Number **
Registration period is over. We are no longer accepting online registration for the 2025 Coyote Hunt. You can still register at the club until Thursday, February 6, 2025, until 11:59 PM. Please come back next year to join in on the fun!
